The pursuit of our dreams will not deliver our desires on a whim. The rejection letters, the grim diagnosis, the empty seats in the theater, the loosing start of a season; all these things are part of the process that propels us to the next level. Mistakes and setbacks are opportunities for growth and development to prepare us for the next path of our journey. It may not look and feel good while we go through it, but victory rarely comes without sacrifice.
Consider Joshua, it was 40 years before he entered the Promised Land. Though he suffered the loss of his leader, God commanded him to continue the journey (Joshua 1:1-9). Joshua moved forward with faith, courage and obedience, and he fought numerous battles to achieve what God promised His people (Joshua 11:16-12:24). What we learn from Joshua is to move forward knowing that God has purposed us for victory.
It may be painful, the process may not always be pretty or comfortable but sometimes we have to throw our hands in the air, surrender to the will of God and embrace the vision that He has placed within us. Our purpose, blessed by God is indeed a dream worth fighting for and going ALL IN!;-)
Prayer: Father God, we call on you to give us the strength and endurance to make our dreams come true. We cry out to you Oh God, depending on your strength to help us on our journey to victory. Forgive our sins and order our steps Father God, that your will may be done in our lives from this moment forward, and continue to bless us in all that we say and do for your kingdom. Because we can do all things in Jesus’ name, Amen!
